Thibaut Courtois, the goalkeeper of Real Madrid and the Belgian national team, shared his thoughts on his future and told in which club he would like to finish his football career.
The Belgian made it clear that he does not plan to return to Genk, where he once started his professional career.
"For me, Genk is the end of my playing career. I had a great year there, but now the club has some talented young goalkeepers, so I don't think my return as a player is necessary," said Courtois.
Instead, the main goal for the experienced goalkeeper remains to continue his performances as part of Real Madrid.
"If I can finish my career at Real, it will be my dream and my goal. Let's see how the coming years will be," said the Belgian.
Last season, Courtois played 41 matches in all competitions, conceding 39 goals and keeping 15 clean sheets.
