Semenyo: Ghana ready to challenge England

The Ghana national team won the all-important three points against Panama at the 2026 World Cup in a tense match. In the first half against Panama, it was difficult for the Ghanaians to gain a foothold in the game. The opponent successfully exploited the Black Stars' problems in pressing, leaving Semenho isolated in attack. To stabilize the situation, the head coach of Ghana, Carlos Queiroz, resorted to tactical changes. "In the first 15-20 minutes, we didn't press very well, so the coach put me in the center to raise the team a bit. We felt that we were sitting too deep in defense. That was the essence of the change. But when the game settled down, he returned me to the wing again. We stayed together and did not concede. Antoine himself played a key role in the winning attack, but admits that the episode in the last minutes unfolded so rapidly that he barely remembers all the details: "The ball bounced quickly and I picked it up. When Brandon got the ball, I wanted to step back at first, then I ran to the near post and completely missed. Luckily, the ball went to Caleb and he scored."
