Kamada set a new record for the Japanese national team at the World Championships

Midfielder of the Japanese national team Daiichi Kamada made history during the match of the second round of the 2026 World Cup against Tunisia.
The football player scored in the 3rd minute and 27th second of the match, setting a new record for the Japanese national team for the fastest goal scored at the World Championships.
The previous achievement stood for many years, but Kamada's goal became the earliest in the history of the Japanese national team in the World Cup.
The scored ball marked the beginning of a confident game, which allowed the team to strengthen its position in the fight for the playoffs.
At the club level, the 29-year-old footballer represents Crystal Palace. In the 2025/26 season, he played 46 matches in all competitions, recording one goal and four assists.
