Rennes have signed Benfica defender Oliveira

Rennes announced on their official website that they have signed a contract with Benfica defender Gonzalo Oliveira. The agreement with the 19-year-old Portuguese is calculated until the summer of 2031. According to the mass media, the amount of the transfer amounted to about 3.5 million euros. Oliveira played 33 games for the Eagles' second team last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists. At the end of the season, Rennes took sixth place in Ligue 1 and will play in the Europa League next season.
