Bayern Munich confirm Jackson's return to Chelsea after €64m buy option declined

0
Bayern Munich have officially announced that Nicolas Jackson will return to Chelsea after deciding against triggering his €64 million buy option. The German champions had the chance to make the Senegalese striker's loan permanent but ultimately deemed the fee too steep. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, head coach Vincent Kompany was impressed with Jackson's development and wanted to keep him. However, the club's leadership felt the price tag didn't match their valuation. The 25-year-old recorded 11 goals and four assists in 34 appearances for Bayern last season. Jackson now heads back to Stamford Bridge, where he will compete for minutes under Chelsea's management. The move to Munich was structured as a loan without an obligation to buy, giving Bayern full flexibility to walk away – which they did.
