Valencia Lock In World Cup Champion Guido Rodríguez Until 2028

Valencia have made it official: Guido Rodríguez is staying at Mestalla on a long-term basis. The Argentine midfielder, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Los Che, has now signed a permanent contract running through the summer of 2028, with an option for an additional year. The 32-year-old brings a wealth of big-match experience. Rodríguez was part of Argentina’s 2022 World Cup-winning squad and has lifted the Copa América twice. Under head coach Carlos Corberán, he featured in 17 matches and found the net four times. Throughout his professional career, Rodríguez has played over 400 games at the top level. He has suited up for West Ham, Real Betis, Club América, Tijuana, River Plate, and Defensa y Justicia, while also earning regular call-ups for the Argentine national team.
