AC Milan Reach Personal Terms with Mario Gila; Real Madrid Poised to Pocket 50% of Lazio Fee

AC Milan are closing in on the signing of Lazio center-back Mario Gila after the Spanish defender agreed personal terms with the Rossoneri.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the 25-year-old has accepted a five-year contract. The clubs are now in the final stage of negotiations, with Lazio president Claudio Lotito having given the green light for the sale.
The deal is expected to reach a total of €30 million, including €25 million guaranteed plus €5 million in performance-related bonuses.
Real Madrid, who developed Gila in their youth system, hold a 50% sell-on clause on the player’s economic rights. That means Los Blancos stand to collect half of whatever Milan pays Lazio for the Spanish defender. The move could become one of the most expensive center-back transfers in Serie A this summer.
