New AC Milan head coach Ruben Amorim has already started shaping his squad, and it appears Youssouf Fofana does not feature in his vision. According to journalist Nicolo Skira, the 27-year-old French midfielder has been informed he is surplus to requirements. Two Premier League clubs have made inquiries about Fofana, and the player is open to leaving the Rossoneri this summer. His contract runs until June 2028, and Transfermarkt values him at €23 million. At the same time, Amorim is trying to convince Luka Modric to stay for at least another campaign. The 40-year-old Croatian has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in a non-playing role after the 2026 World Cup, but Milan’s new boss hopes to keep him in the squad for the upcoming season.
