Manchester United Eye Julian Ryerson as Dortmund Stand Firm

Manchester United have set their sights on Borussia Dortmund right-back Julian Ryerson. According to German outlet Bild, the 28-year-old Norwegian is also drawing interest from several other top European clubs. Ryerson’s stock has risen sharply after a stellar 2025/26 campaign. He was a key figure for the Black and Yellows and also featured for Norway at the 2026 World Cup. His standout moment came against Brazil, where he effectively neutralized Vinícius Júnior and helped his side to a victory. Over the season, Ryerson racked up 18 assists in 42 appearances across all competitions. Despite the interest from Manchester United and others, Dortmund have no intention of letting him go. The club sees him as a core leader and part of their long-term plan. Ryerson’s contract with the Bundesliga side runs through the summer of 2028.
