Saudi clubs eye Alisson again, but Liverpool stand firm
0
Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly preparing to reignite their pursuit of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker during the summer transfer window, according to talkSPORT.
Al-Ittihad are said to be closely monitoring the situation of the 33-year-old Brazilian and could step up attempts to sign him in the coming weeks. Al-Qadsiah have also been linked with the experienced shot-stopper. Al-Hilal previously considered a move for Alisson but never submitted a formal bid to either the player or Liverpool.
Despite the speculation, Liverpool have no intention of parting ways with their No. 1. The club expects Alisson to return after a post-World Cup break and remain the first-choice goalkeeper under new manager Andoni Iraola for the 2026/27 season.
Sources indicate that no official offers have been received from any Saudi club. Juventus were also told earlier that the Brazilian is not for sale. Reports suggesting Liverpool would let Alisson go for around €15 million have been dismissed — the Merseyside club would only entertain a significantly higher proposal, if any arrives at all.
