According to insider Fabrizio Romano, the two clubs also discussed Nicolas Jackson and Alejandro Garnacho as potential options. Romano reports that both players came up in conversations between the sides, though Garnacho has also been linked with a separate move to Roma — no agreement has been reached with the Italian club yet. Jackson spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich, making 34 appearances and recording 11 goals and 4 assists. His current market value is estimated at €38 million. Garnacho, meanwhile, is valued at €29 million. The Argentine winger contributed 4 goals and 5 assists in 39 matches last season.
