Crysencio Summerville to Al-Hilal: Roma Loses Battle as €80m Deal Agreed

West Ham winger Crysencio Summerville is closing in on a move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, the clubs have reached a principle agreement for the 24-year-old Dutchman worth €80 million. Summerville has accepted significantly improved financial terms from Al-Hilal and has been given permission to undergo a medical. The Saudi club first approached the player’s representatives back in May, but at the time the winger wanted to wait for options in European leagues. Roma were among the main contenders, having submitted three official bids. Their last offer, as previously reported, was their final one — the Italian club made clear they would not raise it and asked for a decision within 24 hours. In the end, Roma lost out to the Saudi club. Last season, Summerville made 34 appearances for West Ham across all competitions, scoring seven goals and providing five assists. Despite the London club’s relegation to the Championship, the Dutchman remained one of their key players.
