Bournemouth reject Chelsea bid for Alex Scott despite £60m offer

Bournemouth have turned down a formal bid from Chelsea for midfielder Alex Scott, with the London club offering in excess of £60 million. According to journalists Ben Jacobs and Alex Crook, the proposal was rejected outright, as it fell well short of the valuation set by the Cherries for one of their key players. Club sources have made it clear that Scott is not for sale this summer, and the offered sum did not even open the door for negotiations. Bournemouth consider the 22-year-old a vital part of their project and have no intention of letting him go. The rejection comes amid reported interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City, all of whom are monitoring the situation. Scott’s current contract runs until 2028. The England youth international joined Bournemouth in the summer of 2023. In the 2025/26 season, he made 39 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and providing one assist, cementing his status as a cornerstone of Andoni Iraola’s squad.
