José Mourinho tells Raúl Asensio he's not in Real Madrid's plans

José Mourinho has personally informed Real Madrid centre-back Raúl Asensio that he does not feature in his plans for the upcoming season. The Portuguese manager directly told the 23-year-old Spaniard that there is no place for him in the starting lineup at the Santiago Bernabéu. Asensio had not intended to leave the club but now finds himself needing to explore other options before the summer transfer window closes. It is worth noting that last June, Asensio signed a new long-term contract with Real Madrid, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2031. According to Transfermarkt, the defender's market value is €20 million. Turkish side Galatasaray are currently considered the leading contenders for his signature.
