Ayyoub Bouaddi Agrees to Join Manchester City
0
Moroccan central midfielder Ayyoub Bouaddi, only 18 years old, made a strong impression at the 2026 World Cup with his national team. That performance has made it increasingly difficult for Lille to hold onto him, but the French club holds a strong hand — Bouaddi's current deal runs until 2029.
Lille have made it clear they want at least €100 million for their young star. Even Manchester City, who have submitted a €90 million bid, are cautious about going that high.
In the meantime, the player's agents met with City representatives and agreed on the framework of a personal contract lasting until 2031, signaling serious intent from both sides.
Lille might soften their stance if the deal includes a one-year loan back to the club. In that scenario, the fee would drop to €80 million, allowing Bouaddi to play Champions League football for Lille next season.
Last season, the teenager recorded one assist in 42 appearances for the Ligue 1 side.
