Xaver Schlager Joins Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have officially completed the signing of Austrian midfielder Xaver Schlager. The 27-year-old arrives on a free transfer after his contract with RB Leipzig expired. Schlager spent three seasons at the Bundesliga side, making 108 appearances, scoring five goals and providing ten assists. Before his time in Leipzig, the midfielder featured for Wolfsburg and Red Bull Salzburg. A regular for the Austrian national team, Schlager also played four games at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, registering one assist.
