Official: Aston Villa sign Garnacho on loan from Chelsea

Aston Villa have confirmed the acquisition of Alejandro Garnacho on a season-long loan from Chelsea, with the Argentine winger set to spend the 2026/27 campaign at Villa Park. The 22-year-old joins Unai Emery's side in a straight loan deal that runs until the end of next season. Garnacho came through Manchester United's academy, making 144 first-team appearances for the Red Devils before moving to Chelsea in the summer of 2025. Last term, he featured 43 times for the Blues, scoring eight goals. He is capable of playing on either flank or as a central striker. On the international stage, Garnacho has earned eight caps for Argentina. In 2024, he won the FIFA Puskás Award for the best goal of the year.
