Matviy Ponomarenko Signs New Dynamo Kyiv Deal Until 2031

Dynamo Kyiv striker Matviy Ponomarenko has officially put pen to paper on a new contract with the club, as announced on the official website of the White-Blues. The fresh agreement ties the 20-year-old homegrown talent to Dynamo until the end of June 2031. Ponomarenko admitted the decision was an easy one. “I feel a huge sense of pride that the club trusts me by offering a new contract. I decided to sign it without any long deliberation. We’ll keep moving forward to new heights. The most important thing for me is to help the team. The club has given me so much — I grew up here. I’m grateful for the care they’ve shown me, and I’ll do my best to repay it,” said the forward. In the 2025/26 season, Ponomarenko finished as the Ukrainian Premier League’s top scorer with 13 goals in 15 appearances. He also bagged two goals and one assist in two cup matches, helping Dynamo Kyiv lift the Ukrainian Cup. “First of all, it’s important to stay grounded, keep pushing forward, and help the team qualify for European competitions, perform well there, and win trophies. I’m a Dynamo academy product and have been here for a long time. The club believes in me and puts an emphasis on young players. I’m proud to have signed this contract,” the striker added.
