AC Milan beats Premier League rivals to sign Troyes defender Sanhoun Diawara for €2m

AC Milan have reached an agreement with Troyes for the transfer of defender Sanhoun Diawara, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. The Serie A side beat off competition from an unnamed English Premier League club to land the 20-year-old. The deal is worth around €2 million, with personal terms already settled and a medical scheduled in the coming days. Diawara is a versatile backline option, capable of playing both centre-back and left-back. Last season, he made 14 appearances for Troyes in Ligue 2. He becomes Milan's second defensive signing this summer, following Mario Gila's €30 million move from Lazio.
