Trevoh Chalobah agrees personal terms with Como, clubs closing in on €30m deal

Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has taken a major step toward leaving Stamford Bridge this summer, agreeing personal terms with Serie A side Como. The 27-year-old English centre-back is now awaiting the final green light between the two clubs, with the transfer fee expected to reach €25 million plus €5 million in add-ons. According to sources close to the negotiation, Chalobah has put pen to paper on a contract running until 2031, earning €3.5 million per season. Como turned their attention to Chalobah after failing to land Galatasaray's Davinson Sánchez. The Italian outfit, now managed by Cesc Fàbregas, are pushing to complete what would be the most expensive signing in their history. For Chalobah, the move represents a fresh start after falling down the pecking order at Chelsea. Como see him as a cornerstone for their defensive rebuild and a leader at the back for years to come.
