Barcelona to Face Al-Ahly in 2026 Joan Gamper Trophy

Barcelona have officially announced that Egyptian giants Al-Ahly will be their opponents for the 61st edition of the Joan Gamper Trophy. The fixture is scheduled for August 19, 2026, at the Camp Nou. This will be another summer test for the Blaugrana ahead of the new season. In last year's edition, Barcelona comfortably beat Italian side Como 5-0, showcasing their strength in friendly competition. The Joan Gamper Trophy is a traditional preseason tournament founded in 1966 by then-president Enric Llaudet. Barcelona have won the trophy 47 times. German side Köln have lifted it twice, while Újpest, Borussia Mönchengladbach, Internacional, Porto, Mechelen, Manchester City, Tenerife, Valencia, Juventus, Sampdoria, and Monaco have each won it once.
