Atletico Madrid sign Lee Kang-In in €40m deal from PSG

Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of South Korean attacking midfielder Lee Kang-In from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee of €40 million, with the player putting pen to paper on a contract running until 2031. The 25-year-old initially joined PSG from Mallorca in the summer of 2023 for €22 million, but struggled to nail down a regular starting spot. Across his time in the French capital, Lee made 124 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 16 assists. Last season alone, he featured in 39 matches, netting four times and setting up five more. Lee opted for a fresh challenge following the 2026 World Cup, and Atletico moved swiftly to secure his signature. The Rojiblancos saw an opportunity to add creativity to their frontline and negotiated directly with the Ligue 1 champions to get the deal over the line. Now the Korean international will look to make his mark in La Liga.
