Fenerbahçe Denies Massive €100m Offer for Rafael Leão

Fenerbahçe have officially dismissed reports that they submitted a staggering €100 million proposal for AC Milan forward Rafael Leão. Recent speculation in the Turkish and European media suggested that the Istanbul heavyweight had put together a comprehensive package worth around €100 million, covering both the transfer fee and the player's future wages. The Yellow Canaries, however, were quick to put the record straight with a firm denial. "Claims that our club made a proposal worth approximately €100 million, including the transfer fee and future salary, for Rafael Leão are untrue. No such proposal has been made to the player or his current club," Fenerbahçe stated in an official announcement. Leão himself dropped fairly transparent hints about wanting to move on at the end of last season, but so far no club has formally approached the Rossoneri. The Serie A side appears in no rush to part with their star man, while the Portuguese winger remains in a holding pattern as the summer window unfolds.
