Bayer Leverkusen Confirm Signing of Luca Erlein from Hoffenheim

Bayer Leverkusen have officially announced the signing of German U-19 international Luca Erlein. The right-back arrives from Hoffenheim and has put pen to paper on a deal running until the summer of 2030. Last season, the 19-year-old made 31 appearances across all competitions, registering five assists. Considered one of the most promising young defenders in Germany, Erlein is expected to develop further within Leverkusen's setup and compete for a spot in the senior squad. In related news, left winger Afonso Moreira has also left Lyon to join Bayer, adding more youthful firepower on the opposite flank.
