Oleksandr Protchenko: 'We Approach the Season Start in Good Shape'

Kudrivka head coach Oleksandr Protchenko has summed up his team's preseason preparations for the new Ukrainian Premier League campaign. The coach emphasised that the volume of work was substantial and that the players showed full commitment. The coaching staff had the chance to evaluate many potential newcomers, and Protchenko rated the overall preparation level as high. However, he did mention a few minor injuries among some players, which are a normal part of the training process. All injured squad members are expected to return to the group soon. Protchenko declined to single out any particular friendly, stating that each match provided valuable information for analysis. After every game, the team clearly understood what needed further improvement - whether on the training pitch, during tactical sessions, or in one-on-one conversations. "All the new players showed a desire to give their absolute best. Not everything was perfect - that's due to both physical condition and lack of cohesion. But over time they will understand their teammates better, adapt to our demands, reach optimal fitness, and that will make the team even stronger," Protchenko said. The coach believes Kudrivka are in good shape ahead of the league start. The team underwent quality preparation, received the necessary physical workload, and played a series of friendlies. Protchenko admitted that the work never stops, but the key is that the players understand the requirements and are gradually reaching peak condition. The final assessment, he added, will come from official matches. Protchenko also touched on the transfer window. It will remain open for a considerable time, so anything is possible in football. The club continues to work on strengthening the squad and is considering various options.
