Dynamo Kyiv defender Vivcharenko undergoes knee surgery in Barcelona

Kostiantyn Vivcharenko, a 24-year-old defender for Dynamo Kyiv, has successfully undergone knee surgery following an injury sustained in the second leg of the Europa League first qualifying round against Romanian side Universitatea Craiova. The arthroscopic procedure was performed in Barcelona by renowned surgeon Professor Ramon Cugat. Dynamo's club doctor Ihor Konivets accompanied the player throughout. Andriy Shmorhun, the club's chief physician, confirmed: "Last Friday, Kostiantyn had an arthroscopy of his knee joint. After returning to Kyiv, he will begin rehabilitation at the club's training base. He will undergo recovery procedures, physiotherapy, work in the rehab gym, and follow a set of special exercises." No timeline has been set for Vivcharenko's return to full training - it will depend on his recovery progress.
