Manuel Neuer hints current season could be his last

Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has admitted that this season will likely be the final one of his professional career. In an interview with Kicker, the 40-year-old German revealed that while he doesn't think about retirement every day, he is increasingly leaning toward hanging up his gloves at the end of the current campaign. Neuer stressed that he remains focused on matches and does not want to treat every game as a farewell, leaving himself the option to make a final decision later. Over the course of his career, the legendary shot-stopper has made 858 official appearances at club and international level - nearly 400 for Bayern and 128 for Germany, setting multiple goalkeeping records along the way.
