Laporta Ruled Out of Barcelona's Pre-Season Camp Following Heart Issue

Barcelona president Joan Laporta will miss the club's pre-season tour of England after being diagnosed with cardiac arrhythmia, Spanish media report. The 61-year-old felt unwell shortly before departure and was treated, with the condition now stabilised. Barca are set to hold their summer training camp from July 27 to August 3 at St George's Park, the English Football Association's national centre near Birmingham. Laporta had planned to lead the delegation, but doctors have advised against air travel. Vice-president Rafael Yuste will take his place. Hans-Dieter Flick's side had counted on the president's presence, but the club has stressed that Laporta's health comes first. He will continue to oversee operations remotely, and no further complications are expected.
