Real Madrid open Rodri talks: Over €50m offer ready for Man City star

Real Madrid have made their first move for Manchester City midfield maestro Rodri Hernández. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish giants have initiated oral negotiations with the Premier League champions over a summer deal for the 30-year-old. Los Blancos have informed City they are willing to spend in excess of €50 million to secure the World Cup winner. Rodri, who joined the Etihad outfit in the summer of 2019, is under contract until June 2027. Interestingly, Rodri was named the best player of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Reports earlier this year indicated he underwent back surgery, but that has not deterred Real Madrid from pursuing one of the sport's most influential midfielders.
