AC Milan confirm signing of French defender Diawara from Troyes

AC Milan have officially announced the acquisition of central defender Sanhun Diawara from Troyes. The Italian side confirmed the deal on Tuesday, with the 20-year-old signing a contract running until June 30, 2031, including an option for extension. Diawara spent six years in Troyes' youth system and made his senior debut in November 2024 during a Coupe de France fixture. In the 2025/26 season, he featured in 17 matches across all competitions and played a key role in helping Troyes win Ligue 2, earning promotion back to the top flight. At Milan, Diawara will wear the number 13 jersey. According to Transfermarkt, the transfer fee is approximately €2 million. The French youngster is regarded as one of the most promising defensive talents in his country.
