Palmeiras reject €30m Aston Villa bid for Allan - Brazilian side holding out for bigger offer

Brazilian club Palmeiras have turned down an official bid from Aston Villa for 22-year-old midfielder Allan, according to ESPN. The Premier League side offered €30 million in total, consisting of €25 million guaranteed and €5 million in add-ons, but Palmeiras deemed the proposal insufficient.
Allan, a product of Palmeiras' youth academy, broke into the first team last season and has since established himself as a versatile attacker capable of playing as a right winger, attacking midfielder, or center forward. In 2026, he has recorded six goals and four assists in 34 appearances across all competitions. Scouts from Newcastle United and Liverpool are also tracking his progress.
Aston Villa moved into the transfer market after selling Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for a club-record £117 million, leaving them with significant funds. However, Palmeiras are under no pressure to sell. The Sao Paulo side have set an asking price of at least €45 million and are only willing to negotiate from that threshold.
Palmeiras are also in a strong position on the pitch - they currently lead the Brazilian Serie A standings after 20 rounds and remain active in the Copa do Brasil and Copa Libertadores playoffs.
