Lionel Messi is back on the training pitch with Inter Miami. The club released photos on Wednesday showing the 39-year-old Argentine going through a full session at their Fort Lauderdale facility. According to ESPN, the forward completed 100 percent of the workload with no restrictions. The return comes ten days after Argentina's painful 1-0 extra-time loss to Spain in the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Messi spent the previous week in his hometown of Rosario, supporting his 68-year-old father Jorge, who is undergoing treatment for an undisclosed illness - the family had alerted the public about his condition during the tournament. Messi's individual brilliance at the Mundial was undeniable: 8 goals and 4 assists, plus a string of stunning comebacks. Still, the final defeat cut deep. On Instagram, he wrote: "The pain is immense and it will take time for this wound to heal.
