Fran González set to swap Real Madrid for Sevilla

Fran González is closing in on a move from Real Madrid to Sevilla. The 21-year-old Spanish goalkeeper has reportedly agreed personal terms with Sevilla on a contract through the summer of 2031. Sevilla are expected to pay around €3 million for 50% of the player's rights. Real Madrid will keep a buyback option at a fixed price. Jose Mourinho, the Real Madrid head coach, has reportedly given his approval for the departure. González wants more playing time, and a path into the first team is not easy with Thibaut Courtois and Andriy Lunin in the squad. Last season, the goalkeeper made 28 appearances for Real Madrid's youth side, keeping six clean sheets and conceding 39 goals. His only senior appearance came against Valencia, when he conceded twice. Earlier reports said Vinícius Júnior rejected a move to Arsenal and wants to continue his career at Real Madrid.
