Chelsea Make Valentín Barco Move Official

Chelsea has officially completed the signing of Valentín Barco from Strasbourg, with the Argentine agreeing to a contract that runs until June 2033. Barco, 22, brings versatility to the left side of the pitch, capable of playing as a fullback or in a more advanced midfield role. He started his professional career at Boca Juniors before moving to Europe with Brighton and later Strasbourg. He has also been a regular call-up for Argentina's national team. Chelsea expects the newcomer to increase competition on the left flank and become a key part of the squad as the new season approaches. In the 2025/26 French league campaign, Barco made 27 appearances for Strasbourg, scoring two goals and registering four assists.
