Milan turn down Fenerbahce approach for Leao

Rafael Leao has decided that this summer is the time to leave AC Milan and test himself in a new league. As the window ticks on, though, the only genuine movement around the 27-year-old Portugal forward is coming from Turkish clubs - always eager to land a marquee name. Fenerbahce tested the waters with an offer worth €40 million, but Milan were never going to bite. The proposal was structured as a season-long loan with the fee attached as a buy option rather than an obligation, and the Rossoneri quickly made clear that was not enough. Talks are not dead, however. Reports indicate Fenerbahce are expected to come back with another bid shortly.
