Liverpool open formal talks with PSG over Barcola

Liverpool have stepped up their pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League club have opened formal talks with the French champions over a potential deal. Liverpool have told PSG they intend to submit an official bid in the near future, with negotiations now underway. Still, the two sides remain a long way from an agreement. The first offer from Anfield is expected to exceed €100 million. That figure, however, does not meet what PSG have in mind, as the Parisians value Barcola considerably higher. Despite that gap, the talks remain active. Barcola's desire to move to Anfield could work in Liverpool's favor, and if the clubs manage to agree on a fee, settling personal terms with the player should not be a problem.
