Fiorentina close in on Real Madrid teenager Franco Mastantuono

Fiorentina are closing in on Real Madrid forward Franco Mastantuono. Fabrizio Romano reports that the Italian club have submitted a bid to Madrid and are now negotiating personal terms with the 18-year-old Argentine. Fiorentina believe they are in pole position to win the race, despite serious interest from other clubs. Real Madrid earlier turned down a loan offer from River Plate, the club Mastantuono left to join the Spanish side last year for €45m. Mastantuono has made 35 appearances in all competitions during the 2025/26 season and scored two goals. His contract with Real Madrid runs until 2031, and Transfermarkt values him at €40m. Fiorentina have also taken Juventus defender Mário on loan.
