Bubista leaves Cape Verde job to take over Renaissance Berkane

Bubista is no longer the head coach of Cape Verde. The Moroccan club Renaissance Berkane announced his arrival as their new manager, confirming the end of his long spell with the national team. Financial details of the agreement with the 56-year-old coach were not disclosed. Bubista had been in charge of the Blue Sharks since 2020. Under him, Cape Verde reached the knockout rounds at two Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and then qualified for the World Cup for the first time in the country's history. At the 2026 finals, the Blue Sharks made it to the round of 32, where they were eliminated by Argentina in extra time. Renaissance Berkane finished second in the Moroccan championship last season.
