RB Leipzig complete free-agent deal for Ørjan Nyland

RB Leipzig has made the signing of Ørjan Nyland official, bringing in the Norwegian goalkeeper on a free transfer. The 35-year-old has agreed to a contract that runs until the summer of 2028. Nyland arrives from Sevilla, where he had played since 2023 before his contract expired. He will take the No. 1 jersey at Leipzig, a club he already represented during the 2022/23 season. Last season he made seven appearances, kept one clean sheet and conceded ten goals. He also served as Norway's first-choice keeper at the 2026 World Cup, where his national team advanced to the quarterfinals.
