Marino Pusic appointed Al-Ahli head coach until 2028

Marino Pusic has a new challenge in Saudi Arabia. The Bosnian coach has been appointed head coach of Al-Ahli, with a contract that runs through 2028. Pusic previously worked on Arne Slot's coaching staff at Feyenoord before taking charge of Shakhtar Donetsk. Across two years in Ukraine, he won the league title and the Ukrainian Cup twice before leaving the club at the end of the 2024-25 season. He spent last season in the UAE with Al-Jazira, leading them to a fourth-place finish. Al-Ahli recently parted ways with Matthias Jaissle ahead of his move to Newcastle. Xavi and Marcelino were also considered for the role.
