Al-Ahli set sights on Didier Deschamps as Jaissle replacement

Didier Deschamps has emerged as a target for Al-Ahli, with the Saudi club looking into the possibility of bringing the former France head coach back to the dugout. According to journalist Fabrice Hawkins, Al-Ahli are searching for a new manager after Matthias Jaissle joined Newcastle. The Jeddah-based club are working on a move for the 57-year-old, though Deschamps is not thought to be keen on the switch. Deschamps spent 14 years as France boss, leaving his role in 2026. His final World Cup brought a semifinal loss to Spain and a defeat to England in the third-place match. Al-Ahli ended last season third in the Saudi Pro League.
