Arteta: Arsenal are aiming for every trophy

Mikel Arteta has made it clear that a friendly defeat will not change Arsenal's ambitions. After losing 1:3 to Betis, the Gunners' manager spoke about building a real football dynasty at the club. Arsenal won the Premier League in 2025/26 and reached the Champions League final. Arteta says that is exactly why the target now is to go again and compete for every piece of silverware. "I am even more inspired ahead of the new season. We will compete for all trophies because that matches our ambitions. We know exactly what we are capable of. All the work we have done over the summer - and I have done personally - is about understanding what is needed for new victories and creating a dynasty at this club. That is our main goal," said Arteta. Earlier reports suggested that a new Arsenal signing is ready to fight for a place in the starting lineup.
