FIFA officially supported Infantino amid the scandal

Following the meeting in Rabat, FIFA Secretary General Matthias Grafström and members of the organization's board confirmed their full support for President Gianni Infantino as the only waiter elected by 211 national associations. In turn, the head of FIFA expressed confidence in the administration for the work done, in particular during the organization of the 2026 World Cup. During the meeting, the parties acknowledged the mistakes made during the development and promotion of the FIFA Forward Enterprise (FFE) initiative. Participants in the meeting agreed that the FIFA Council and member associations should not have felt left out of the process, and communication after the media leak should have been structured differently. The organization has already sent an official letter of apology and pledged to conduct an internal investigation. Currently, the FFE project is completely off the agenda. FIFA emphasized that, despite the miscalculations, all actions were carried out in full accordance with the regulations, and from now on the organization will take all necessary measures to protect its reputation from any encroachments.
