Denys Pidgurskyi admitted his Kryvbas debut left mixed emotions. The midfielder made his first appearance for the Kryvyi Rih club in the 1:4 defeat to Karpaty, yet the joy of that moment could not mask the disappointment of the result. "I'm happy to have played for a club like this - it has real history, a great city and incredible supporters. But losing hurts, and the result is all that matters. We'll keep working together so performances like this don't happen again and our fans have more wins to celebrate," Pidgurskyi said. He added that settling into the squad was easy because he already knew many of the players. The bigger challenge is adapting to a foreign coaching staff - a new experience for him after working only with Ukrainian coaches. He believes a little more time is all he needs to fully understand their demands. Kryvbas now turn their attention to a second-round UPL meeting with Zorya in Kyiv. Pidgurskyi described Zorya as a strong, ambitious side with experienced Ukrainian players and quality foreigners, pointing to their opening win. He expects a tough battle and difficult weather, but stressed that taking all three points is essential to keep positive momentum through the Premier League season.
