Crystal Palace complete deal for Takehiro Tomiyasu

Crystal Palace have officially completed the signing of Takehiro Tomiyasu. The London club confirmed the arrival of the Japan defender on its official website. Contract details were not revealed, but the 27-year-old is set to wear the No. 17 shirt for Palace. Tomiyasu joined as a free agent after leaving Ajax in early July. Since December 2025, he has recorded one assist in nine appearances, totaling 236 minutes of playing time. The versatile defender previously spent four seasons at Arsenal, where he made 65 league appearances, scoring two goals and providing three assists. At international level, Tomiyasu has 46 caps for Japan. Palace's first signing of the summer had already been another defender arriving from abroad.
