Getafe land Lyon midfielder Orel Mangala on loan

Getafe have officially confirmed the loan signing of Lyon midfielder Orel Mangala. The 28-year-old Belgian joins the La Liga club on a temporary deal. The move was announced on Getafe's official website, with Mangala committed until the end of the 2026-27 season. Last campaign, he made 14 appearances for Lyon without a goal or assist. His contract with the Ligue 1 side runs through June 2028. Getafe will open the new Spanish league season away to Deportivo Alavés on Saturday, 15 August. Jose Bordalás' side will play at Mendizorroza in Vitoria-Gasteiz.
