Courtois returns to Real Madrid training after World Cup duty

Thibaut Courtois has returned to Real Madrid's Valdebebas training ground after an extended break linked to his participation in the 2026 World Cup. The Madrid club announced the 34-year-old goalkeeper completed his first session since coming back. Courtois started with individual work as he looks to build up his fitness before the new season. The Belgium keeper played all six of his country's matches at the tournament. Belgium went out in the quarterfinals after a 1-2 loss to Spain. Courtois was unable to finish that game after picking up an injury in the 71st minute.
