Van 't Schip named Kazakhstan head coach

John van 't Schip is the new man in charge of Kazakhstan. The Kazakh Football Federation announced the appointment on its official website, though the 62-year-old Dutchman will only put pen to paper once the KFF executive committee gives its approval in the coming days. Van 't Schip, a former Ajax and Genoa player, began his coaching career in 1977. He has since managed Twente, Ajax, Melbourne Heart, Guadalajara, Melbourne City and Zwolle, as well as the Greece and Armenia national teams. Kazakhstan's immediate test comes in the Nations League, where they will face Faroe Islands, Slovakia and Moldova in League C.
