PSG and Manchester United play out Gothenburg draw with Zabarnyi going the distance

PSG and Manchester United served up an even contest at Gamla Ullevi in Gothenburg as both sides continued their preseason preparations. The friendly finished level after the two teams traded goals inside the opening half-hour. Paris drew first blood almost immediately, with Ibrahim Mbaye putting the French side ahead inside two minutes. United responded well to the early setback and restored parity on 32 minutes through a crisp finish from Mbemo. Ukraine international Illia Zabarnyi started at the heart of the PSG defense and played the full 90 minutes. In the build-up to United's equalizer, the center-back threw himself into a desperate block to stop Mbemo's shot, but the forward still managed to find a way past him and beat the keeper. Up next for PSG is a UEFA Super Cup showdown against Aston Villa on August 12, followed by the French Super Cup meeting with Lens on August 16. United, meanwhile, have two more friendlies before the Premier League season gets underway - Leeds on August 12 and AC Milan on August 15.
