Protchenko: Kudrivka still very much a team in progress

Oleksandr Protchenko, the Kudrivka head coach, gave his verdict after his side played out a 0:0 draw against Livyi Bereh in the second round of the Ukrainian Premier League. "We were quite good on the ball and created several chances in the first half. We switched play well and got dangerous from crosses, but we were missing the final touch. The second half was more nervous, especially after the disallowed goal because of a foul. After that it became harder to keep the ball, but we still had good opportunities. Honestly, I thought we deserved to win," Protchenko said. He also explained that he called a timeout to show the players video examples of how to win second balls and improve their positioning. The message appeared to get through - after that pause, the opposition had almost no chances. On the bigger picture, Protchenko was straightforward about where Kudrivka stand. "Right now we are definitely still at the stage of building the team. I can't say what percentage we are at, but we will improve game by game - that is 100 percent," he said.
